Why Monitor An Alarm?

How often have you heard and ignored a siren or alarm bell coming from a building or a vehicle? In today’s fast paced society we have become desensitised to the sound of distress and you can no longer rely on a neighbour or the community to protect our most valuable assets. How Does Alarm Monitoring Work?

An alarm system is attached to your telephone line, or in some cases to a wireless network, which is then used to send signals from the alarm control panel to our monitoring centre. The operators can see what type of alarm is coming through and can then take action by calling you, your nominated contact point, a patrol response or the police.

Highly secure, wireless security monitoring can protect you in cases where there may be a threat of the main telephone line being tampered with or cut. Wireless alarm monitoring is highly secure and involves attaching a wireless alarm monitoring interface (WAMI) device to your alarm control panel. This then communicates to the Eversafe monitoring centre where our fully qualified security monitoring staff are waiting to respond. The system will notify client, police, fire, ambulance and patrol response as required.

What Happens When My Alarm Is Triggered?

In the case of an emergency or disturbance, your security system will communicate with our control room via the telephone line installed in your home or business. If the system is not disarmed with a valid user code, one of our Control Room Operators will first call your premises to validate whether a false alarm has occurred.

If we are unable to contact you, we will then endeavour to communicate the situation to you via your contact response list. Once we have made contact with you, you have the option to instruct us to send out a patrol car or you can attend yourself.

What Level of Security Do I Need?

The level required is determined by the level of risk involved in your premises. You must take into consideration insurance requirements set out by your insurance provider to ensure that you are properly covered in the case of an emergency. For example, if you were a chemist, we would recommend a much higher level of security to protect things like drugs, etc. as opposed to a residence.
